Selena Gomez continued her head-turning night at the VMAs 2023, wearing a bold purple minidress as she headed to the star-studded afterparty.
The “Love You Like a Love Song” singer, 31, got into the party spirit as she changed from the stunning red Oscar de la Renta gown she wore for the big event into a short satin dress from Undone by Kate.
Gomez gave fans a closer look at the strapless mini on her Instagram Story Tuesday night, sharing a mirror selfie that revealed the royal purple dress with corset-style boning and a curved neckline with pointed tips.
The “Only Murders in the Building” star showed off plenty of cleavage in the busty dress, covering up with an oversized black leather jacket as she exited the party.
She accessorized with a very rock-and-roll bag, carrying a black Aupen purse ($290) with bedazzled crystal fringe.
Gomez swapped out her $116,000 in red carpet diamonds for more delicate jewelry, wearing a choker necklace and a pair of hoop earrings.
Meanwhile, BFF Taylor Swift rocked a similar short look for the party, with the “Cruel Summer” singer in an upcycled denim dress ($480) by EB Denim as the two no doubt celebrated Swift’s nine VMA wins and Gomez’s victory with Rema in the Afrobeats category.

As for her earlier VMAs look, the “Single Soon” actress certainly secured a spot on the best-dressed list with her dazzling dress, which was made from hand-beaded red flowers that formed a lace design.
She also made headlines for her viral reaction when Olivia Rodrigo’s set appeared to fall apart during her VMAs performance, reacting in horror before it was revealed that the “collapse” was intentional.
