Distressed Anya Taylor-Joy appeared on the verge of tears while outside her Los Angeles home with her husband, Malcolm McRae.
The “Queen’s Gambit” star was photographed looking glum as the former “Portugal. The Man” drummer comforted her with a hug and kiss on Thursday.
The two seemed to be engaged in a somber conversation hours after they were initially seen moving guitars into their home while Taylor-Joy, 27, took a phone call.
At one point, McRae was seen holding his wife’s head as she rested on his chest.
She then perked up enough to take a stroll hand-in-hand with the musician through her neighborhood while they were joined by a friend.
However, the “Menu” actress — who styled a white V-neck tank top with a black high-low skirt — didn’t let out a smile during the outing.
McRae, 29, on the other hand, sported an all-black look with a long sleeve button-up and pants.

Page Six exclusively reported in July 2022 that the couple tied the knot in a secret courthouse wedding after a year of dating.
At the time, rumors the two were engaged surfaced a month before after Taylor-Joy was spotted stepping out in Australia with a diamond rock on that finger.
The actress and the “Brotherly” actor seemingly confirmed their relationship in February 2022 when they made their red carpet debut at Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty.
But it wasn’t until March of that year that the “Amsterdam” star openly spoke about McRae in an interview with British Vogue.
“I’ve finally found someone who will happily sit in silence with me reading,” she said at the time. “We’re basically 80 years old and 7 at the same time, and it works really well.”
