New York Giants team captain Adoree’ Jackson was seen making a surprise appearance in the Jets’ backyard to support some aspiring young players.
The NFL star spontaneously showed up to the practice of some gobsmacked second graders in New Jersey who play in the Florham Park/East Hanover Falcons youth football program.
(Turns out one of the tyke’s dads is a close pal of the player who generously stopped by to greet the squad, we hear.)
The football star gave the kids some words of advice on following their dreams, and also signed jerseys and posed for pics.
In turn, the kids supported Jackson when one of the dads mentioned that he’s going up against the Seahawks for the Giants’ Monday night game.
The Jets’ practice facility is in Florham Park, while the Giants practice in East Rutherford.
We hear that Jackson told the kids, “I was coming out here pretty much just to see you guys practice… I just wanted to let you guy know to enjoy it, have fun with this, listen to the coaches and your parents.”
The Giants top cornerback added, “Ultimately just believe in yourself. As I got older my goal was to not let the inner-kid I had in myself down. I always wanted to play professional sports… So if you actually have a passion, whatever it is, it might not be football… chase it and go do it, because you never know what the outcome will be.”
The star played in college at USC, and was later drafted by the Titans in the first round of 2017.
Jackson, 27, is entering a contract year, and has said of staying with the Giants, “I know [there’s] been talks about it… But at the end of the day, I mean, God took care of it before, and I know he’ll do it again. So I’m not really worried about what’s going on, just control what I can control.”
