Ballet flats are dancing their way back into celebrities’ wardrobes this fall.
And Katie Holmes became the latest star to try out the trending footwear on Wednesday, stepping out for a stroll in NYC wearing the just-launched Birdies Crane Ballet Flats ($150.00).
While the actress, 44, selected the fawn suede shoes to match her pale pink dress, the luxe square-toed style also dropped in three fall-ready leather hues: espresso, shimmering gold and maroon.
Although these under-$200 flats may be new, celebrities’ love for Birdies certainly isn’t; while Anne Hathaway, Lily Collins and Brie Larson all own pairs, Meghan Markle might be the brand’s biggest fan.
The Duchess of Sussex owns the Starling Slippers ($98.00) in lush black velvet, and has worn them everywhere from Morocco to Toronto over the years.
It’s not the first time Holmes and Markle have shopped in sync, as the women both wore the exact same black-and-white striped Posse Theo Strapless Dress ($239.00) mere weeks apart in August 2023.
And while the “Dawson’s Creek” star certainly knows how to turn heads in designer duds — who could forget her internet-breaking $520 Khaite cashmere bra or her polarizing pants-over-jeans look? — she’s also stepped out in several (slightly) more affordable fashions in recent months.
For a string of dressed-down outings this summer, the star stayed comfy in athleisure styles that included the Alo Yoga Airlift Intrigue Bra ($64.00) and star-approved Alo Yoga Accolade Sweatpants ($118.00) — the latter of which she owns in at least two colors.
