Casa Cipriani ‘actively purging’ members at posh private club

Casa Cipriani is cleaning house, we hear.

Multiple sources have told Page Six the exclusive private members-only club in Lower Manhattan is becoming even more exclusive by “actively purging” some members.

“It’s a real thing,” a source told Page Six. “It’s a real purging. No one is safe. Members are not being renewed, and people are getting emails that membership is now inactive.”

We’re told it’s “just an email saying, ‘You’re no longer a member,'” one person claims.

An email seen by Page Six to one such abruptly bounced member reads: “Please be advised that your club membership will not be renewed for the upcoming year.”

The message goes on to say that as of this month, “your membership is no longer active,” and then signs off with “Warm regards,” and includes the logo of “Casa Cipriani New York – Membership.”

We previously reported that Casa Cipriani was looking to change its mix of clientele. “They’re looking for a cooler clientele, like art world people … more high-profile,” a source previously explained.

Casa Cipriani is allegedly ousting members without giving an explanation.

A rep for the club denied that it was axing members at the time, telling us, “We pride ourselves on the privacy of our community and do not comment on false accusations.”

The rep added: “Sounds like someone who is upset they can’t get in … since the reality is that we have had more and more interest from the art and entertainment worlds.”

The rep did not comment on the recent alleged purge.

Either way, there’s no denying there’s a high demand for the club, which counts Leonardo DiCaprio and Mayor Eric Adams as regulars.

Demand is supposedly so high, it has a 4,000-person waitlist.

The club also recently revoked access to a few members after they allegedly broke club rules by snapping photos of Taylor Swift while she was at the space with her former purported beau, rocker Matty Healy.

Said another insider, “They’re super successful and want higher-end people. They opened one way, and are now going the other direction. Other private clubs are a disaster. They know what they have.”
