Girl with no style?
Claudia Oshry said she was “roasted” for wearing a “cheugy and weird” outfit to the New York Jets game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night.
“I was at the event of the season last night. I really was. I went to the Jets game, which, for a multitude of reasons was so fun,” the influencer told her sister and podcast co-host Jackie Oshry on Monday’s episode of “The Toast.”
“One, because Taylor [Swift] was there of course … It was so exciting to be at the center of a cultural phenomenon. Two, I had the cutest sweatshirt on that just made me excited.”
Claudia, 29, explained that she loved her outfit, which consisted of an Etsy white crewneck sweatshirt with the words “Taylor’s Version” inside the NFL logo ($22.32) paired with high-waisted cream slacks.
However, many of her followers dragged the content creator for her ensemble.
“When you look good, you feel good, even though I got f–king roasted on TikTok,” Claudia said. “Like, I had four videos go crazy-viral. Everyone wanting to eat my ass alive for my choice in pants.”
Claudia said that her followers voiced disapproval when she was trying to style her sweatshirt with skirts and trousers in a few “Get Ready With Me” TikTok videos.
“I could not figure out how to style it, and I realized once everybody came for my ass on TikTok that the reason I couldn’t figure out how to style this, like look cool but also comfortable for a sports game, is because I don’t own a single pair of jeans,” Claudia said.
While Claudia said she doesn’t wear stylish baggy blue jeans or straight-leg denim, she did admit to owning skinny jeans that she refuses to wear because she is “deathly afraid of being cheugy.”
“I’m not a jeans girl,” Claudia said, before confessing to buying a pair of big blue jeans from Revolve now that she feels more confident in her body.
Still, Claudia brushed off the haters and stood by her fashion choice.
“My outfit was weird but whatever. I was running late and I had a good time. But I actually liked the way I looked. Like, everybody was coming for me but I thought I looked cute,” she said.
And while she admits she didn’t look “amazing,” Claudia said she “looked fine” and “had the best time.”
Claudia and her husband Ben Soffer sat front-row at the game, which they attended to spy on Swift as the singer cheered on her new boyfriend, Travis Kelce from a private suite.
The “Anti-Hero” singer was joined by famous friends including Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Sophie Turner, Hugh Jackman and Sabrina Carpenter.
Following the game, which saw the Chiefs beat the Jets 23-20, Claudia proudly posted an Instagram photo of herself wearing the controversial outfit at MetLife Stadium.
“Waiting all day for Sunday night @nyjets,” she captioned the post.
The comedian has been open about her weight loss program, sharing in August that she started using Ozempic last year.
